my comments:
I had never been able to right a song about/to the woman I love. I explained it to Cindy once. I said, “I can’t write a song about you, cause it would be way to sweet. Nobody wants a song like that!” and that is where it started. I had a verse. Of course, when it came to the music, my head went straight to folky country. I had a guitar line and my buddy Phil said he really liked it, so I went with it.
I stated, at the release of my “Single Series”, that the songs I am writing and recording now are just the way I hear them. Influences, styles, they are all purposely not avoided the way I and many writers have in the past! I don’t care! lol! If you listen and say, “Hey that sounds a lot like…” It probably does! ~JC
