After a lifetime of music, I burned out. I felt I was out of it for good. I didn’t pick up an instrument and I didn’t sing a note!
6 years later I started puttering again and it all came pouring back. I was inspired once again! This song pretty much says how I felt at that time. I had a poppy sort of R&B melody and went from there. I stated, at the release of my “Single Series”, that the songs I am writing and recording now are just the way I hear them. Influences, styles, they are all purposely not avoided the way I and many writers have in the past! I don’t care! lol! If you listen and say, “Hey that sounds a lot like…” It probably does! ~JC
