my comments:
The lyrics came first. I liked the story. As I proceeded to write the music I realized the simpler I kept it the better it sounded. I decided to plunk out some chords on the piano and it made sense from there. This was my first of the single series so naturally I was nervous about whether I could still do this! I asked one of my closest friends, songwriter, producer and many other things, Mike Gladstone, for some insight. He eased my mind with some production ideas. I guess it’s my interpretation of a more modern “pop” sound. ~JC
