Shallow waters at the edge of the lake
Wading in to feel the warmth on your feet
No way to know is this a mistake
Until you head to where it gets deep

A flickering moment it makes sense
That’s all it takes to get you to the dance
You won’t know you’ve lost your innocence
not everything is worth taking a chance

Everything will keep spinning around
So many choices to come
Sometimes you want the world to slow down
You’d like to have a little more time to look around
But for everything to breathe it must circle the sun

So many choices around you
When your world is young and awake
No blame in believing what surrounds you
The road that calls the hardest is the one you will take

We can’t help it, it’s what we do
Make decisions that we feel the most
Somehow we always make it through
Even though you might be chasing a ghost

Don’t let it get to you if it goes wrong
It needs to be said
Another choice will be coming along
Just stay inside your head, yeah yeah
